UNIO Wins Founders Fight at IAA MOBILITY 2025
UNIO Enterprise has been crowned the winner of the Founders Fight at IAA MOBILITY 2025, one of the most exciting startup pitch competitions in the mobility industry.
The competition brought six innovative startups into the pitch ring, each stepping up to fight for the title:
-
The Terrain Whisperer – BAREWAYS: Condition-aware Travel AI for safer, smarter journeys.
-
The Grid Tamer – Hive Power: Smart charging & V2X solutions that transform EVs into flexible grid assets.
-
The Micromobility Gatekeeper – KARUSO: Secure, scalable parking solutions for bicycles.
-
The On-Device Navigator – Magic Lane: Privacy-first mapping & navigation SDKs for vehicles and IoT.
-
The Quality Enforcer – Manex AI: AI-driven optimisation to prevent and reduce defects in manufacturing.
-
The Always-Available Operator – UNIO Enterprise: Enterprise mobility connectivity that keeps vehicles and assets online even when networks drop.
The rules of the fight were simple, but tough: one minute to pitch, one minute to challenge the opponent, and one minute to defend against jury and audience questions. After three knockout 1:1 rounds, UNIO advanced to the final, and won.
Represented by Jasmin Rimmele, Head of Business Development at UNIO, the team demonstrated how UNIO’s hybrid 5G + satellite solution delivers seamless, always-available connectivity for mobility. Unlike other solutions, UNIO augments existing networks instead of replacing them, ensuring services stay online even when terrestrial coverage drops.
The jury, including industry leaders Roger Atkins, Claudius Jablonka, Dr. Simon Herzog, Christian Vorländer, Charlott Christin B., and Johannes Kirschner, put startups under pressure with sharp questions, but UNIO’s vision and solution stood strong.
Winning the Founders Fight marks a milestone for UNIO and reinforces the market’s demand for resilient, hybrid connectivity to power the future of mobility.
"This victory shows that our message resonates: mobility needs connectivity that never drops. We’re proud to lead that change," said Jasmin Rimmele.
